This famous car is called the "Grosser Mercedes" and designed by Hans Nibel. It is distinguished by having been the state car of many dignitaries including Willem II and Emperor Hirohito. The car weighs over 3,5 tonnes with an overall length of 5818 mm. It is powered by a straight 8 cylinder engine of 7655cc giving 150bhp at 2800rpm plus 20 bhp with the supercharger engaged. This model was based entirely on the original cars kept at Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. |
The Mercedes-Benz 770 is a large luxury car built in Germany from 1930 to 1943. The car is mainly known for the use by the Nazi high ranking officers during the 2nd world war. A total of 205 of these cars were built.
